The Challenge
Delivering the project during a nationwide lockdown.
The start of works on site coincided with the implementation of a first COVID lockdown. Following government guidance, the project was forced to shut down while new safety procedures were implemented. So after a short standstill period, the project was able to progress as planned and our scheme was brought to life.
What We Did
Accentuating the original features of the historic brewery.
Built in the 1700's, our brief was to incorporate the modern and colourful aesthetic consistent of Jellyfish's worldwide brand within the historic architecture of the building. We utilised as many of the buildings original features as possible throughout our design, retaining the exposed red brick and the grain hoists that are still present in the stunning high ceilings.
Biophilic elements throughout softens the industrial feel of the environment.
Using suspended planting and organically shaped feature pendant lighting, the Malt Building gained an organic nature within the vast existing spaces.
By developing distinctive zones according to task based working within the space, we have created a relaxed and collaborative office environment ready to support Jellyfish on their continued journey of growth.
