A new way of working for one of the World's oldest investment banking firms.
The Challenge
Transitioning from a traditional corporate model to a progressive and agile workspace.
In the wake of the pandemic Berenberg needed to provide colleagues with greater choice and flexibility of work settings. By expanding their London office with an additional 24,000 sqft Floor, teams from the 4th and 5th floors move to the 7th and provide Berenberg with one of the largest investment research floors in the city.
What We Did
Collaborating to create an adaptive and multipurpose working environment.
Completing our third major project together, we followed a process of workshops where we developed high level concepts into a detailed design scheme.
At the heart of the new floor is Berenberg's statement feature - The Hub. A multi-use space available to colleagues from all floors, The Hub is a hybrid breakout area with dining facilities, space for focus work, meetings and collaboration.
The Hub's variety of modular furniture items allows the space flexibility to adapt to the user needs and as such provides Berenberg with a stunning setting for the social and corporate events that they often host.
Task specific settings providing variety and choice.
A clear objective in the brief was to introduce a variety of workplace settings, giving colleagues the choice to work from the area that best supports their task.
These settings included open plan hot desking, dedicated one and two person video conferencing rooms, collaboration zones and both formal and informal meeting spaces.
The installation of CAT-7 data cabling throughout the floor enables Berenberg to utilise state-of-the-art AV to stay ahead of their competition and connected to colleagues around the world.
What They Said
“It was a delight working with such a motivated and well organised team from Workplace Creations on this project. Especially as we had to make it work from long distance due to COVID. Looking forward to the next projects indeed!”
