Workplace Creations created national design standards for consistency which allow for the personality and local culture to be expressed. These were then applied to the new building in Bristol. A methodical approach to rationalising on-site storage was deployed prior to the relocation, increasing efficiency by 50%. Given the move to the central business district and the open plan nature of the space, the priority was to create facilities and interior features to boost employee engagement.
A vibrant reception area and increased number of meeting rooms make the space more accessible for clients and formal gatherings. The tea points and break out areas are themed with highlights of Bristol’s history, including a homage to Banksy. Over 80 people work full-time from the offices and provision was made for hot desking for those visiting from the other offices around the world.
The Mazars’ offices are in a multi-tenanted building. The project coincided with a refurbishment being undertaken by the landlords of all of the common parts including the reception and stairwells. As a result procedures for managing the safety of the building and the contractors working on the site were enhanced to ensure that the security of Mazars and the other tenants was not compromised. The Workplace Creations project manager paid special attention to the planning of deliveries to minimise disruption to the landlord’s project.
